An interesting coin showing more of the legend than is typical. The obverse on this coin type is NEVER complete. The full die was about 20mm, the size of a Shield/Helmet four prutah piece, while the planchets they were struck on were only about 15 - 16 mm. One would have to collect numerous examples of the same die pairing in order to see what the die design looked like (which is what was done by J.P. Fontanille in "The Coins of Herod" by Ariel and Fontanille.
