Cn. BLASIO Cn.f. AR DENARIUS, 112/111 B.C.E.
Crawford 296/1e, Sydenham 561b, Cornelia 19, Good Very Fine / About Extremely Fine, 18.7mm, 3.92 grams
Obverse: Helmeted male head to right (of Scipio Africanus?), CN·BLASI·C NF before, bucranium behind
Reverse: Jupiter standing slightly left between Juno and Minerva, the latter crowning Jupiter with wreath; Θ between Jupiter and Minerva
A usually off center and invariably flatly struck issue. This is hands down the sharpest reverse we have ever seen, especially in the portraiture. Even the only >$1000 we have found sold, do not compare in that regard! See here and here.
