ARCHDUKE LEOPOLD V AR TALER, AUSTRIA 1632
Davenport 3338, Very Fine+, toned, 42.3mm, 28.39 grams, posthumously dated 1632, but struck under Archduke Ferdinand Karl in Circa. 1646, Hall Mint
Obverse: LEOPOLDVS D G ARCHIDVX AVSTRIÆ around armored bust to right, date 1632 in right inner field
Reverse: DVX BVRGUNDI COMES TIROLIS around crowned arms within collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece
Interesting slight variant with many of the separators consisting of one dot instead of the regular two dots. Well struck with lovely old toning. A handsome example of this large Taler!
