An important commemorative issue struck by King Agrippa II on the occasion of his voyage with his sister Berenice to Rome. Titus was courting Berenice and it was expected they would marry. However, the Roman citizenry was not accepting of this relationship, and she was sent back to Judaea.
She is mentioned alongside her brother Acts 26: 30-23, when they heard Paul's defense in from of the the Roman Procurator Antonius Felix. "And the king arose and the governor and Berenice and those who were sitting with them, and when they had drawn aside, they began talking to one another saying, 'This man is not doing anything worthy of death or imprisonment' ".
